If you’ve been checking out laptop deals looking for a bargain, we’ve found one. One of the best Dell laptop deals for anyone on a tight budget, including students or someone who just needs a laptop to use occasionally, the Dell Inspiron 15 3000 is just $230 right now from Dell. Normally priced at $300, you save $70, which really adds up with this kind of cheap deal. Let’s take a look at why it’s worth your time.
We’ll level with you — the Dell Inspiron 15 3000 isn’t one of the best laptops around when money is no object. However, if you need to keep costs down, you’re in luck. Thanks to it being made by one of the best laptop brands, you get to enjoy a well-made machine without having to spend a fortune. Essentially, the Dell Inspiron 15 3000 is perfectly aimed at students of all ages. In an increasingly digital world, even your kids need a laptop to be able to study and it’s likely you don’t want to spend a fortune (or tempt them with a high-end gaming laptop).
The Dell Inspiron 15 3000 has all the basics. There’s an Intel Celeron processor, 4GB of memory, 128GB of SSD storage, plus a great screen. Thanks to all the best Dell laptops typically taking into account the minor details that soon add up, the 15.6-inch HD screen offers up anti-glare properties, narrow borders, as well as Dell’s Comfort View Low Blue Light Software Solution to cut down on harmful blue light emissions. That means your kids (or you) can use the laptop for much longer without worrying about eye strain.
The Dell Inspiron 15 3000 also looks out for your wrists. It has a lift hinge that raises the laptop to a more ergonomic angle so you get to type in more comfort than with the average laptop. The keycaps involved are 6.4% larger than before, plus there’s a large touchpad so it’s easy to use this laptop for extended periods of time.
Designed with comfort and ease in mind while keeping costs low, the Dell Inspiron 15 3000 is a perfect entry-point device. Reminding us all that you don’t need to spend a fortune on a Windows-based laptop, you’ll be impressed at how much easier it makes work or study. Normally priced at $300, it’s down to just $230 for a limited time only, saving you $70 in the process.
Dell has pushed out a rare deal on its sleek Alienware x15 gaming laptop. To make this deal even sweeter, there’s an extra $100 off Dell coupon code that stacks with the $1,050 off instant discount. The Alienware x15 is a newer, thinner, and lighter redesign of the m15. In fact, it’s the thinnest Alienware laptop ever and competes in build quality, dimensions, and performance to other high-end ultra-thin laptops like the Razer Blade.

This is the lowest price we’ve seen for an Alienware x15 laptop with an RTX 3070 GPU. In fact, currently this is the least expensive Alienware x15 on Dell’s site right now, and that’s even compared to the RTX 3060 base model. This particular config comes well equipped with an 11th gen Intel Core i7-11800H CPU, RTX 3070 GPU with a TDP rating of 110W (with dynamic boost), 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. The RTX 3070 has a lower TDP rating that that found on the m15 (150W with dynamic boost) in order to keep thermals manageable, but the x15 is still fully capable of powering through pretty much any game at 60+fps on the laptop’s 1080p display. It should perform about as well as the previous generation’s fastest model, the RTX 2080 SUPER mobile, and that’s very impressive considering the x15’s 0.63” thickness.
Traditional desktop computers still have a lot of value these days, especially at a time when working from home is the norm for many. Compared to a laptop, they can generally be outfitted with added power, and more crucially, can be upgraded with better components over time to keep up with your needs.
The newest Dell XPS Desktop, while not the sexiest or smallest computer, delivers big on these two benefits. It can handle serious creative workloads and immersive 4K gaming, thanks to support for the latest Intel processors and Nvidia and AMD graphics cards. More importantly, you’ll barely have to touch any tools to open it up, meaning even non-techie users will be able to upgrade it should they find themselves needing more storage, memory or graphics muscle.
This all adds up to a great desktop machine for content creators and PC gamers alike, though its bulky (and occasionally loud) design might not be a fit for everyone. Wondering if the XPS Desktop deserves a spot in your home office? Here’s what I think after spending a few days working and playing on it.
A great Windows PC for creating and gaming
The Dell XPS Desktop’s strong overall performance and easy upgradability make it a great choice for those who do demanding creative work or want to play the latest PC games.
Lots of ports — and a disc drive!
As someone who’s constantly switching out accessories for both work and play, I appreciate a PC with lots of easily accessible ports, and the XPS Desktop delivers those in spades. Dell’s desktop features three USB 3 Type-A ports, a USB 3 Type-C port, an SD card slot and a headset jack right up front, which allowed me to hook up a mouse, microphone, webcam and a charging cable for my phone without having to reach around to the back of the computer.
Once you do make your way behind the PC, you’ll find a standard selection of ports that includes two USB 3 Type-A ports, two USB 2 Type-A ports, a USB 3 Type-C, an Ethernet jack and a full suite of audio ports for your sound system. Our review unit’s Nvidia GeForce 3060 Ti graphics card packs three DisplayPort connections as well as an HDMI port, giving you plenty of options for connecting to one or more screens.
